Business loans for owners who need working capital

A business loan gives a proprietorship, partnership or company funds for working capital, stock, equipment or expansion. Most are unsecured, so the bank relies on your business income, banking history and returns rather than collateral.

Who banks lend to

Businesses with an operating history, filed income tax returns and healthy bank statements. Lenders look at turnover, profitability, existing loans, the owner's credit history and how long the business has been running.

How the amount is set

The bank works from your annual income and the repayment capacity shown in your statements, then caps the EMI at a share of that income after existing obligations. The final figure, rate and tenure are the bank's decision.

Repayment

Equal monthly instalments over a fixed tenure. Foreclosure and part-payment charges vary by bank and are confirmed in the sanction letter.

Documents the bank usually asks for

Nothing is needed to compare or enquire. The bank asks for these once it picks up your enquiry.

  • PAN and Aadhaar of the owner
  • Business registration, GST certificate or shop licence
  • Last 12 months of business bank statements
  • Income tax returns with computation and financials
  • Proof of business address

Questions about business loans

I am self-employed. Which details do I enter?
Choose Self-Employed in the app and enter your business name, years in operation, annual income and whether you file ITR. The matcher works from your monthly share of that income.
Do I need collateral?
The business loan plans our partners share are typically unsecured. Where a bank needs security, it will say so when it contacts you.
Is Loan Bazzars free to use?
Yes. Comparing offers and sending an enquiry costs nothing. Any charges come from the bank, and only if you go ahead with a loan.
What happens after I send an enquiry?
Our team forwards it to the bank and helps you understand which documents are needed. The bank contacts you directly to take the application forward. Approval, rate and disbursal are entirely the bank's decision.
